Green Monday: What Were The Best Green Monday 2013 Deals?

By: Ellisha Rader Mannering - December 9, 2013

So you made it through Black Friday, found the online deals on Cyber Monday and now there’s another big shopping day to conquer, Green Monday. Never heard of it? Well then, you don’t know what you are missing. Green Monday is the time when online stores offer some of their most competitive prices online. As stores rush to get as many holiday sales as possible before Christmas comes and goes, they lower their prices to attract more customers.

Green Monday is typically the second Monday of December. Prices are often lower than those found on Cyber Monday and many more stores participate in Green Monday than you might think. So what were some of the best deals available this Green Monday?

Walmart joined in on the Green Monday sales this year and offered a variety of toys, clothing, electronics and housewares. Some of their deals include the Canon Black PowerShot SX160 IS 16MP 16x Optical Zoom Digital Camera for just $79.99, the HP Sparkling Black 14″ Pavilion TouchSmart 14-b109wm Laptop PC for $328.00 and a SCEPTRE X405BV-FHDR 40″ LED Class 1080P HDTV for $249.00.

Other stores also offered some great Green Monday specials, including Kmart, which is offering buy one get one for $1 shoes for the family, 40% Christmas decor, up to 50% clothing and select board games for $9.99.

If you want to double your Green Monday deals, take advantage of sites like Ebates and BigCrumbs.com. Ebates is offering double cash back at more than 500 stores today. You also want to look for free shipping offers which are being offered by many different online stores as well.

If you still have Christmas shopping to do and want to get in on the best prices of the season, there’s still time to shop this Green Monday.
