Google’s 45 Minutes

Get the WebProNews Newsletter:

Apparently, Google gets only 45 minutes of your time every month, according to a report by Nielsen/Netratings (PDF).

The report lists the top 10 parent companies, how many unique visitors they get per month, and how long, on average, each person uses their site over the course of the month.

Google gets 45 minutes, on average, from 93 million users, putting it in fourth place behind Time Warner (#3, 4:51, 99mil), Yahoo (#2, 3:09, 105mil) and Microsoft (#1, 2:00, 112mil).

Time Warner has the highest time rating on the list, because not only do they have a lot of users, but those users who do show up have good reason to stick around.
