Google Earth And The Hurricane
Asa Dotzler asks the question many may have been wondering during today’s, “moderately” difficult weather condition …
… (you may have heard of Hurricane Katrina): “where’s the Google maps hack” that shows live weather updates?
Now, I haven’t seen any such implementation (and there really should be one), but my brother did tell me that he saw a lot of local news stations using Google Earth for their weather reports, with a prominent Google Earth logo in the corner of the screen. Google must be thrilled to be getting their logo on a number of newscasts. I’d be interested in finding out how many.
