Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell have been together for 32 years, and seem to have a great relationship. So why have the two never married?
"Getting older is a fact of life. By living mindfully you understand that there are many transitions in life. You just go through them," Goldie Hawn says. "But it's wonderful to know you're aging, because that means you're still on the planet, right? It's all about how you make it. It's all in your mind."
It's hard to fathom, when looking at recent photos of Goldie Hawn, that the Private Benjamin and First Wives Club actress will be 70 in November. Her youthful looks mirror her young-at-heart attitude.
She credits intention--and not a marriage license--to the key to her longevity with Kurt Russell.
"A lasting relationship isn't about marriage. It's about compatibility and communication. And you both need to want it to work. If one person does not want it to work, it isn't going to work," Goldie Hawn says. "Intention is the key. It's also about not losing yourself in each other. Being together, two pillars holding up the house and the roof, and being different, not having to agree on everything, learning how to deal with not agreeing. Everything's a choice."

The topic of Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell never tying that proverbial knot has come up time and time again over the years. Do you think she has ever truly explained the reason behind their lack of a marriage license?
While her talk of intention is admirable, some likely wonder if her non-married status is a throwback to her sort-of hippy days.
Do you remember Goldie Hawn when she appeared on Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In?
Goldie Hawn has a new journal that hits book stores today. Called 10 Mindful Minutes: A Journal, it is right in tune with her 'hippy' self. It is for use with her book of the same title.
