Rich Cusick, senior vice president and general manager of Digital Media for Gemstar-TV Guide said, “These sites strengthen TV Guide’s online position as the premier Web provider of television information and guidance, and offer advertisers new opportunities to reach a broader audience. We will work closely with the sites’ founders to provide new services to their existing communities, such as listings and entertainment news that will also lead to audience growth.”

TVShowsOnDVD.com focuses on providing news and information about TV shows available on DVD. It contains a database of over 6,000 DVD sets featuring 1,000 shows.

TV-now.com is a TV site where users can find scheduling information by show or celebrity. The site also has the all important celebrity news, gossip, photos and recommendations.

Fansof RealityTV.com features forums, show recaps, news and all information related to the never-ending parade of reality television shows.

The redesigned JumptheShark will include tools that will allow users to vote and post in real time on which TV shows have “jumped”.

Mr. Cusick continued, “We love the grass-roots humor and passion of Jump the Shark, and we don’t want that to change. Our redesign will enhance the Jump the Shark experience for loyal users while preserving site founder Jon Hein’s unique and wry take on TV.”
