Gelila Bekele, Tyler Perry’s longtime girlfriend, is reportedly pregnant!

According to Us Weekly, the couple, who have been dating for five years, are expecting their first child together.

The Madea star revealed the exciting news during his 45th birthday party on Monday, September 22 at his home in Atlanta, Georgia. A source said that there were over 100 guests in attendance including Perry’s close friends Jennifer Holliday, Tevin Campbell, Monica, Jazmine Sullivan, and LeAnn Rimes.

“They are overjoyed and really, really happy,” a source told Us of the couple. “He was so happy in the moment so he told the guests.” The guest also revealed that Bekele is nearly seven months pregnant, and the couple is absolutely thrilled to be parents.

To finish off the exciting evening, Stevie Wonder reportedly sang happy birthday to the Single Moms Club director.

During an interview with Steve Harvey last year, Perry opened up about his desire to be a father. “I know I would be a great father. I don’t want to work this hard. I don’t want to have all of this and not leave it to my children,” Perry said at the time, but explained that he just wasn’t quite ready with his busy schedule. “As hard as I’m working — doing 20 hours a day — now is not the time,” Perry added.
