  • It’s official – Full House is getting a reboot.

Netflix has ordered 13 episodes of Fuller House, a continuation of Full House starring Candace Cameron-Bure, Andrea Barber, and Jodie Sweetin. John Stamos will produce and guest star.

The show will center on D.J Tanner (now D.J. Tanner-Fuller) – a recently widowed pregnant mother of three. Tanner-Fuller moves in with her sister Stephanie and best friend Kimmy Gibbler. Quite the fuller house.

“The continued support of Full House fans of all ages for the last 28 years has been astounding,” executive producers Robert L. Boyett, Thomas L. Miller and Jeff Franklin said in a statement. “It is an honor and a thrill to catch up with these beloved characters and explore their lives today. The love you saw on the show was real. The cast has remained a loving family off screen all these years. We are as excited as our fans to finally bring Full House back to life.”

Stamos was on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night and made the announcement, saying it’s been a work in progress and a “labor of love.”

Of course, you’re probably wondering where Bob Saget, Dave Coulier, and the Olsen Twins are in all of this. According to Deadline, discussions regarding guest appearances are ongoing. We hope they are fruitful, as a Full House spinoff just wouldn’t be the same without them.

Fuller House will land on Netflix in 2016.
