French Montana was a goner. His fifteen minutes of fame on Keeping Up with the Kardashians had expired, and he was out back with Lamar Odom and Ray J.

Sure, you get to see old footage of him with Khloe on the KUWTK spinoff Kourtney and Khloe Take the Hamptons, but everyone knows he’s done.

But some things that go away on KUWTK come back again. Except maybe for Ray J.

French Montana has already been noticed hanging with Khloe Kardashian again. They are not officially anything, but they buy people cars and stuff.

Then, recently when Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick had their new baby, French sent a congratulatory note their way. Well, make that a “congradulatory” note. Apparently French is one of the many people in the United States who misspell the word “congratulations” — even when it is written right in front of you.

One of the noteworthy things about this note is that he signed it “Uncle Frenchy.” Now, maybe french Montana is really still a well-like figure in the Kardashian household. Maybe they love to see him coming up the walk. Maybe the kids run to greet Uncle Frenchy at thee door.

Or maybe he is that ex-boyfriend of your sister’s that just won’t get the hint and move along. She keeps going out to do things with him, but not really “going out.” You know she’s sending him the wrong message. He thinks “there’s a chance.” And he keeps buying family and friends gifts, trying to ingratiate himself with everyone, maybe win the girl back, get out of the Friendzone.

French and Lamar Odom both share the distinction of being kinda-sorta still possible for Khloe. Her divorce from Lamar has never quite been done. But French has more of Khloe’s time.

“You never know, we might be together, we might not,” Montana told Us Magazine. “It’s a great thing to keep it in the air. Our relationship – you break up you make up, you break up you make up. We went through that a couple times. You never know.

“She’s my baby forever. She’s good. She’s the best. There’s no bad blood with her. I love how she is. She inspires me as a person. I’m sure I inspire her in many different ways. We just have that special relationship. Right now we’re in a special zone… She’s a beautiful person. I don’t think a lot of people know how beautiful she is.”

For her part, Khloe confirms that she is not holding any grudges or hatred.

“I love memories,” she said, “and I still talk to him. There’s no bad blood or anything.”
