  • Fred Willard is the man. I don’t care what anyone says — the guy is one of the funniest actors currently working today. Watch “Best in Show” and tell me he isn’t. And if PBS doesn’t want a masturbator hosting their show “Market Warriors”, then it’s ultimately their loss. Good luck finding someone who isn’t. Sure, anyone with a phone and an opposable thumb can find pornographic material outside of a seedy theater these days, but maybe that’s not his bag. To each his own, though I strongly recommend looking in the mirror before passing judgment on anyone.

Thankfully, Willard seems to have a sense of humor about the whole ordeal. Honestly, I’m not sure how you couldn’t laugh at yourself for getting busted fiddling with your dangly bits inside a pornographic movie theater. In an effort to lighten the mood a bit, Willard decided to post the following tweet, proving he isn’t above poking a little fun at himself over the whole ordeal.

According to Reuters, the films showing on the evening of his arrest were “Follow Me 2,” “Step Dad No. 2” and a porn parody of “The Client List”. Sounds like a fantastic way to spend an evening if you ask me. However, the next time Willard is feeling a little anxious, perhaps he should spend a quiet evening at home. Just a suggestion.

Fear not, Fred Willard devotees! The man is still very much a part of television program “Trust Us With Your Life”, an improv show he filmed for ABC. Although I’m sure the suits at the network were a little shaken by Willard’s arrest, at the end of the day, the guy is still funny. Plus, it’s not like he was doing something horrendously felonious.

As far as his legal obligations are concerned, the “Best in Show” actor will be able to avoid jail time entirely if he completes a diversion program. Hopefully he’ll pony up the $380 and make good with the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office. That way he can get back to being funny. Not that he ever stopped, mind you. After all, getting busted for masturbating inside a porn theater is pretty humorous, intentional or not.
