You see, Rahat likes to drive his car up to various drive-thrus and scare the crap out of poor, innocent, food workers. Various pranks involve scary dolls, fake hands, and headless drivers. This time, he’s combined a zombie drive-thru prank with a headless drive-thru prank. The results are nice:

From what I can tell, here’s how we got to what you’re about to see:

First, a two-minute compilations of goats screaming like humans went viral a couple of weeks ago. At some time after that, someone stuck a screaming goat into the Taylor Swift song “I Knew You Were Trouble.” That revitalized an older meme – the “goat edition.” After that, people began putting screaming goats into other songs. As of right now, thousands upon thousands of “goat editions” are searchable on YouTube.

But in the last few days, the attention has turned back on Taylor Swift. People began to replace the screaming goat with other things – like a motion-activated paper towel dispenser or Nicolas Cage’s “not the bees” bit from The Wicker Man.

Other popular inserts included a screaming bunny and the best cry ever, an old meme from the TV show Intervention.

All of that leads us to what is hopefully the end of all of this. Watch it and you’ll see why.

What follows is…well…is something. JC means a lot of Pastor Jim Colerick and he knows that if he wants to reach the “urban” crowd, he has to speak the language (Warning: NSFW language):

The video has flown to the front page of reddit, where the skeptics have been hard at work figuring out what’s going on here. On January 15th, 2013, two things happened. First, the YouTube account that uploaded this video was created. Second, this page was registered. It’s supposedly the official website of West Dubuque Church of Christ, led by “Pastor Jim.” In the “news” section, we learn that the church was apparently shuttered in June of 2004.

As amazing as it would be if this was simply one youth pastor’s misguided attempt to connect with the kids, we’re just looking at a very well-made comedy video. Emphasis on very well-made.

If someone had (rather convincingly) told you that in a shocked and terrified voice yesterday afternoon, what would have been your reaction? Would you have believed them, knowing that the end times were probably nigh? Would you have checked Facebook, just to see if anyone else was talking about a tsunami? Would you have punched them in the face?

I’m not sure I can condone this prank, as it’s pretty mean – some people look genuinely scared. But we can all watch this and be glad that this scenario didn’t actually come to pass. The end of the world would have been so stressful.
