Kanye West has chosen an interesting way to promote his new album, Yeesus; the new dad took advantage of Scott Disick’s resemblance to a certain Psycho and used it to great effect in a new promo video.

Disick, who is the father of Kourtney Kardashian’s children, is dressed like Christian Bale’s character in “American Psycho” in the video, which may or may not be a nod to the fact that people have noticed over the years his uncanny resemblance to Patrick Bateman. Apparently, Bret Easton Ellis–who authored the book the movie is based on–wrote the original script for the video but tweeted on Monday that it was changed a bit.

Scott Disick's Dream Comes True in the promo that I originally wrote for Kanye's new record but not a lot was used: http://t.co/VBDMK698bL

— Bret Easton Ellis (@BretEastonEllis) June 18, 2013

The video is now available to view here (NSFW).

With Bonnaroo kicking off tomorrow, it’s important to remind you exactly what you’re paying for:

Standing in long lines, waiting to be molested by security, having your drugs stolen, paying too much for food, and standing in a field – only to miss your favorite band because your other favorite band is playing at the exact same time on a stage all the way across the festival.

Also, good times, camaraderie, and stories that will last you a lifetime. Ok, I’m not going to Bonnaroo. I’m just bitter.

Chris Kelly, half of the famous rap duo Kris Kross, which rose to fame when Kelly (The Mac Daddy) and Chris Smith (The Daddy Mac) were just kids, has died of an apparent drug overdose.

Those of us at the right age to have been listening to Kris Kross in the early 90s when hits like “Jump,” “Warm it Up,” and “I Missed the Bus” were getting steady airplay, are taking some time to reflect on the joy Kris Kross once brought to our lives. That includes memories of backwards clothing, the legendary “Make My Video” for Sega CD, and of course, dope beats and rhymes.

One of Kris Kross’ forgotten classics actually comes in the form of an ad for Sprite. After all this time, I have yet to see Sprite release a better commercial.

And it should be – it’s an incredible song. But I guarantee you’ve never heard that song like this before.

The amazing cover comes from Tel-Aviv-based Rotem Shefy (vocals) and Leat Sabbah (cello). They first recorded the song last year, and then launched a Kickstarter project, which is why you see the nicely produced video below.

YouTuber Shane Dawson penned this epic tribute to the more inane aspects of Twitter – you know, the parts of the service that aren’t breaking news and providing insightful commentary on world events. It kind of sounds like a certain Rihanna song, and it’s pretty great. Check it out:

Well, this is one way to shake off those Monday morning blues. Thank you, internet, for this. Just imagine what could have been.

Here’s what it would sound like if Michael Jackson was the one featured on Daft Punk’s new single “Get Lucky.” Just tweak the pitch and speed a little bit and Pharrell Williams quickly morphs into the King of Pop. As you would expect, it’s incredible.

“So I found out just by pitch shifting Get Lucky, the track sounds a lot like Michael Jackson. The ‘He-hee’s,’ ‘Woo’s,’ ‘shamonas’ and other MJ sounds developed on their own when the track sped up,” says creator Maim Ixed on YouTube.

For those of you who ran “Get Lucky” into the ground this past weekend with repeated plays (and who didn’t?), here’s a way to get over the repetition and keep listening to the track:

Daft Punk’s first new (non-soundtrack) song in about eight years has seen incredible but predictable buzz since it (officially) dropped last Friday morning. It not only flew up the iTunes charts, but reportedly set the record for the biggest streaming day for any single track on Spotify in both the U.S. and the U.K.
