FDA Turns a Blind Eye To Viagra

Pfizer Inc. said Monday that a review of it’s famous erectile dysfunction drug, Viagra, concluded that there was no evidence of a link to a rare ocular condition known as non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION).

“There is no evidence that Viagra causes blindness or any other serious ocular condition,” said Joseph Feczko, Pfizer’s chief medical officer.

The FDA agreed with the conclusion that no causal relationship had been established. Pfizer, covering its tracks, said it is in talks with the FDA about revising the Viagra label to include a warning about some men who have used the drug had been stricken with NAION.

Further tests showed that some are at risk of a rectal-ocular nerve crossover, giving them a crappy outlook on life. That was a joke.
