  2. See, this is another reason commenting is so powerful. Sometimes more powerful than the post itself. With all of the issues around censorship it’s really interesting to see that Facebook is considering censoring here while there are active hate based pages on the site that go relatively un-checked. NOT to say that this is an un-important issue. It IS, but why did this lobby get a voice while some others have not?

      They do have a mechanism to report hate-related material. I guess it’s just a matter of it actually being reported. I don’t know the specifics of how they determine what to take down and what not to.

  4. Interestingly, Facebook has been transformed from something which was supposed to connect people around the world to a real danger to the created relationships. I don’t think there will be any changes implemented that would eliminate all the threats that the social network poses.
