The Syracuse men’s basketball team got some devastating news today as their starting center Fab Melo was ruled ineligible and will not play in the NCAA basketball tournament. No further details have been announced about the matter, but the Syracuse Athletic Department released the following statement: “Given University policy and federal student privacy laws, no further details can be provided at this time.”
With Syracuse set to tipoff against UNC-Asheville, in just two days, it’ll be interesting to see how the ‘Cuse handles this situation. With this bracket busting news, some of the heavyweights in the college basketball world shared some of their insights on the matter:
