While Dell Computers will partner withh CFDynamics to include its client on a line of Dell servers, while CFEclipse needs a few good contributors.

In an effort to reassure clients of a smoothly running, supported, and efficient environment, ColdFusion web host CFDynamics announced a partnership Dell for exclusive use of Dell's PowerEdge line of servers.

The company chose Dell PowerEdge servers because of features built into the processor, chipset and memory designed to protect the server from failure.

And because Dell servers use identical hardware in each model, CFDynamics says it will be easier to set up, support, and upgrade.

The company adds that the partnership will also allow it to fill orders faster and offers assurance to customers that the necessary equipment is easily procured to keep operations running smoothly.

"Using Dell servers allows us to offer our customers a high quality, well-known brand of servers," says Jason Egan, VP of customer relations for CFDynamics.

"These servers have been proven to be extremely reliable, easy to support, all with the backing of the well-known brand of Dell," he added.

In (loosely) related news, the developers of CFEclipse have extended their call for contributors to the project.

ColdFusion blogger Mark Drew gives a few tips on how to get started with contributions.

Discussion and idea bouncing can be found on the contributors list. After that, Drew suggests checking up on the bugs that have been identified.

"There is more information about what various bits are of the code do over at Spike's CFEclipse Wiki which we are moving to the new CFEclipse.org Wiki,' writes Drew.
