What a difference a year and a half can make! Basketball Wives star Evelyn Lozada can definitely attest to how things can change for the good, but things just got even better.

Yesterday, on Christmas morning, the reality star was elated to announce her engagement to her beau, LA Dodgers’ star outfielder Carl Crawford. Lozada took to Instagram and Twitter to share the news, along with pictures of the jaw-dropping rock.

Its safe to say the ring is absolutely stunning, and wreaks of  ‘all things opulent’. The ring isn’t just something you’d see casually window shopping somewhere. So, here are the details on it.

According to TMZ, the custom piece of jewelry, which was designed by Jason Arasheben, is retailed at an estimated $1.4 million.

As a celebrity jeweler, Arasheben who owns Jason of Beverly Hills, has been quite busy this holiday season. In addition to Lozada’s engagement ring, Arasheben also created Gabrielle Union’s engagement fin for Miami Heat star Dwayne Wade.

Lozada’s first Instagram picture of the ring shows her wearing it. The caption only says, “YES!”. However, it’s quite befitting as the picture itself speaks volumes.

The second picture shows the ring on display in its box. Lozada also expresses her appreciation for Arasheben’s craft work in designing the ring. The caption reads, “Thank u so much @jasonofbh for this BEAUTIFUL DESIGN!!!! #HappiestGirlInTheWorld ❤❤❤”.

“I’m overjoyed and in complete and utter shock!” Lozada said to People Magazine following the announcement. “What a different year and a half it has been – I’m truly happy!” Lozada’s representative also spoke with the publication, weighing in on the engagement stating that Lozada, “wasn’t expecting a proposal at all, and when Crawford got down on one knee it took Evelyn by surprise.”

In addition to their engagement, Lozada made another shocking announcement last month when she revealed that she was 6 months pregnant with Crawford’s child. Inquisitr News reports that the two have been dating for a little over a year now, and are expecting their first child in March of 2014.
