  • Eva Amurri has a lot to be excited about these days. The How I Met Your Mother actress has announced that she is expecting her first child.

    According toUS Weekly, the actress-daughter of famed Hollywood star Susan Sarandon and Italian film director Franco Amurri is preparing for parenthood with her husband Kyle Martino.

    On Friday, Feb. 14, the happy couple spoke exclusively with the publication, sharing their high anticipation about the new chapter they’re embarking on.

    “We are so excited to announce that we are expecting our first child together,” the couple said in a short statement to the publication. “Having a family has always been a priority for us both and we couldn’t be happier!”

    The elated actress even tweeted an official announcement of her pregnancy to fans. When she referred to her husband as her “baby-daddy” it was a definite giveaway for her followers!

    Sarandon also shared her excitement about becoming a grandmother. The Banger Sisters actress tweeted about the pregnancy as well.

    Shortly after she made the announcement, fans began tweeting well wishes to the actress. Of course, Amurri tweeted back to fans thanking them for all of their congratulatory messages in reference to her pregnancy. She was exceptionally pleased with the heartwarming outpouring she received from so many who shared in her happy moment. Her husband also chimed in to show his gratitude.

    Amurri and Martino, a former soccer star, married in October 2011. The couple’s little bundle of joy is expected to arrive sometime at the end of summer.
