  • Grammy award-winning rapper Eminem definitely pulled out all of the stops for his monumental single The Monster with Rihanna.

While most fans are definitely familiar with the chart-topping record itself, Slim Shady decided to provide a visual of the record for his following.

Yesterday, the ‘Rap God’ rapper debuted the full video of The Monster during ESPN’s Monday Night Countdown before the Detroit Lions game against the Baltimore Ravens. Slim Shady drew the attention of most fans by sharing the tid-bits of information on his Twitter timeline.

Eminem started with a stream of tweets on Thurs. Dec. 12 announcing that the video would be released soon. As anticipation slowly began mounting for the No. 1 hit single, the tweets kept pouring in until the official release.

The 13-time Grammy winner even tweeted short  teaser of the video a few days ago. However, the 57-second short was more than enough to receive highly lauded reviews even before the actual release.

The teaser opens with Eminem and the ‘Pour it Up’ singer sitting in a bleak office setting. Eminem is viewing a series of clips of himself on a television, while Rihanna takes notes, observing him from afar. The camera captures both of them in an effort to focus on Eminem’s reactions.

The short video ends in an outdoor scene with a two guards aiming guns at a huge crate, but the contents aren’t revealed. The ending image is actually the capture of the same teaser image Eminem tweeted.

The Monster, which was produced by Bryan “Frequency” Fryzel, is the third single from Eminem’s eighth studio album The Marshall Mathers LP 2. The record, was officially released as a single via iTunes on Oct. 29. It is Eminem’s fourth collaborative production with Rihanna. The single debuted at No. 1 on the United States Digital Songs chart with reported sales of more than 373,000 units. The Monster also debuted at No. 1 on the Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs chart, becoming Eminem’s first top debut for that particular chart.

According to Billboard, as of Dec. 14, The Monster is still holding the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100.
