Emily Maynard: ‘Bachelorette’ Alum Marries Tyler Johnson
Comments are off for this post.
Emily Maynard and Tyler Johnson tied the knot in a secret wedding ceremony on Saturday at Johnson’s family’s farm in South Carolina. Guests were told they were simply attending an engagement party for the Bachelorette alum and her fiance. The two got engaged back in January, with Johnson presenting Maynard with five diamond studded bands. He even gave a ring to Emily Maynard’s 8-year-old daughter Ricky. (Ricky is the daughter of Maynard and her late fiance Ricky Hendrick, who died in a plane crash in 2004.)
A source told Us Weekly that on Saturday, “Emily met a bunch of relatives at a restaurant for lunch and they had presents for her.”
At about 6:00 Saturday evening limos lined up outside of Emily Maynard’s home. The bride sported a pink dress and cowboy boots for the occasion.

Maynard first met Tyler Johnson before she started filming The Bachelorette back in the spring of 2012. They took their relationship to the next level following her split from Jef Holm that October. She was also once engaged to Brad Womack following season 15 of The Bachelor. It was soon after that when she became The Bachelorette. Her engagement to Johnson marked the fourth time she was engaged.
“We met at church,” Maynard said of Johnson during a recent appearance on Good Morning America. “I think that’s why our relationship is so good now, because we started out as friends.”
Emily Maynard celebrated her impending nuptials in May with a “white trash bash” bachelorette party. Her friends in attendance had no clue they would be attending her secret wedding just a couple of weeks later.
Congratulations are certainly in order for Emily Maynard and Tyler Johnson. May they enjoy many happy years as husband and wife.
