Ed Sheeran Covers Beyoncé’s “Drunk In Love”

Ed Sheeran surprised all of us with the unlikely cover song that he performed on Z100’s Morning Show.

While we’re used to hearing Taylor Swift’s touring budding sing sweet acoustic songs, the saucy new addition to his musical library is causing quite the buzz.

The song Sheeran performed was Beyoncé’s sexy hit, “Drunk In Love.”

Originally, the young singer just sampled the hit to his fans. Sheeran said “I did around 12 seconds of it and everyone online was like, ‘I wanna hear a full version!'”

The English singer-songwriter’s latest album X (pronounced multiply) will be available June 23.

The cover is a stripped down version of the Queen’s original song that was made famous at this year’s Grammy’s.

What do you think of the red-head’s rendition? Should he just stick to his originals or should he consider covering “Partition?”
