Alright. First thing’s first, my fellow Sons of Anarchy fans: SPOILER ALERT!

I say that with great emphasis because the site I was just perusing didn’t quite do me the same courtesy, and now I might as well not bother catching up on Season 6 at all.

Actually, that’s a lie. I’ll likely watch the whole season marathon style after I’m done sharing about Wendy Case’s “prospect”-ive (contrived pun; moving on) reinstatement in Jackson’s life – now that Tara’s has been taken.

It’s true.

I’ve barely gotten to grieve the loss of our beloved fictional “old lady” for five minutes. Now I have to break the news to you that the less likable Wendy character could conceivably supplant her in Season 7. Oh, the humanity! But Sons of Anarchy enthusiasts indeed have a decent reason or two to believe that Wendy (aptly portrayed by Emmy Award winner Drea de Matteo) may stage a comeback in the world of Jax.

And Jackson’s psychological state will not be the least of these reasons.

As envinced in an interview Kurt Sutter gave to TV Line, Kurt had a deliberate desire to throw the “Jax” character into an emotional and moral turmoil by extracting those closest to him:

“I wanted to remove his ‘True North,’ because I feel like there needs to be this major psychic and emotional shift that has to happen,” Kurt explained.

He went on to say, “What direction it will push him in we will see next season. But what happens to a guy like that now that he’s lost both of the people he loves the most, who were able to be his moral compass, with Opie and now Tara. It really is Jax completely untethered and on his own in the final season. “

So where does Wendy Pane come in?

That’s right!

This is great news for Drea de Matteo, who has been promoted to a series regular next season. However, it’s probably less welcome news to those who get really involved in their television stories. With respect to the ongoing storyline, the mental mayhem of Jax combined with the promise of Pane as a permanent fixture seem like ideal ingredients for some “anarchy” over at the anti-Wendy camp (club?)

Fear not, though, fellow viewers.

Regardless of what unfolds in Season 7, try to remember that we’re meant to watch these make-believe shows to temporarily escape unhappy feelings. However, should you find yourself among those losing themselves in the fantastic fervor that is Sons of Anarchy and confusing the cast with their irksome characters, just know that Drea de Matteo is actually a really lovely person back here in reality. She performs kind acts, like contributing to the “Lather Up” Locks of Love benefit, supports the ethical treatment of animals, and will tell you herself that the characters she plays are meant to be entertaining – not emulated.

But if you needed that last bit of advice, an even better bit might be to see some less television overall.

Congratulations, Drea!
