Doobie Brothers, Journey Announce 2016 Tour

The Doobie Brothers and Journey are heading out on tour together in 2016. The bands announced the upcoming tour on Tuesday, with tickets going on sale starting December 5th.

Launching the San Francisco Fest 2016 Tour on May 12, the Doobie Brothers and Journey are two of the iconic groups that defined the San Francisco sound. Special guest Dave Mason will tour with the bands.

The Doobie Brothers have been around since the 1970s, with classic hits including "Black Water," "What A Fool Believes," "Jesus is Just All Right," "Minute by Minute," "Takin' It to the Streets," "China Grove," and more.

Journey made its big debut in the 1980s, with hit songs including "Faithfully," "Open Arms," "Lights," "Who's Cryin' Now," "Separate Ways," and more. Original lead singer Steve Perry left the band after several years, and in 2007 Neal Schon discovered Arnel Pineda. He has been the lead singer ever since, and his voice bears an uncanny similarity to Perry's.

The Doobie Brothers and Journey will travel all across the country, with concerts in California and even Bangor, Maine--as well as many venues in between. Those with the Live Nation mobile app will get access to a free password on December 3rd at 10 a.m. Tickets for everyone else go on sale two days later--December 5th--at 10 a.m.
