Diddy’s Dream Home Invaded by Delusional Squatter
One man decided that he wanted to live like he was Diddy and decided to break into the icon’s East Hampton mansion where he ate and drank like a king. Quamine Taylor hails from Queens, New York and was arrested on April 1st while in the midst of his intrusion.
Apparently Taylor is obsessed with the music mogul because he did the very same thing in the same crib ten years ago. On the first occasion he pretended to be a cousin of Diddy’s. This time, Taylor claimed he was a close personal friend; he was so convincing that even after he tripped the security alarm at 1 am, the company representative allowed him to remain in the home. He continued to live it up until 4am when the caretaker for the home found him.
One of Sean’s hobbies is collecting estates. His East Hampton mansion is his dream home and was one of the first estates that he purchased. In 2008 he invited hundreds of celebrities to join his white event. P Diddy is simply obsessed with white — his celebrity guests were required to wear white, and his home is almost completely decorated with white furnishings. It should be called the snow mansion.
After giving NBC’s entertainment correspondent, Jill Rappaport a tour of the home in 2008 Diddy jokingly offered an open invitation to visit his home, “Anytime yall in the area stop by.”
Maybe Taylor took this message as a real offer but I doubt it. His mother says that he is mentally unstable and has gone off of his medication.
You can tell that the man is delusional by the following statements that he made following his arrest:
“I really didn’t go to Diddy’s house because I’m a big fan of his. I just wanted to get out of the city for a while. I was actually hoping to stay like 15 to 17 days.”
“I’ve actually been going to the house from time to time since 2001.”
“I stay there a lot, but Sean gets funny sometimes about me staying there.”
Hopefully Taylor gets some professional help.
Do you think this could have been just a practical joke?
