Demi Lovato took a serious fall while gracing a slippery stage in L.A. on Sunday. The "Heart Attack" singer has been busy promoting her new single, "Cool for Summer," and that has involved some sexy swimsuits and high heels. And while Demi Lovato definitely looks hot when dressed this way, it's not the best wardrobe choice for a slippery stage.

When taking the poolside stage at 102.7 KIIS FM’s party at the WaterMarke Tower, Demi Lovato was wearing a sexy plunging Gypsea one-piece, a white button-down tied around her waist, and mega-high colorful Ruthie Davis platforms that said “Cool” across the front and featured a neon lucite heel. Those heels were likely the problem. They were several inches high, and surely hard to balance on. Add to that the stage's slippery condition from being right by the pool, and there was a disaster in the making.

Even though Demi Lovato fell hard, she fortunately wasn't injured--except for maybe the blow her pride received. She handled the situation like a pro, however, and got right back up to greet her fans.

She shared a short clip on Instagram of her fall.

Do you suppose Demi Lovato's boyfriend, Wilmer Valderrama, was on hand to see the singer take her spill?

If so, her wounds were likely well cared for following the poolside event.

Fortunately Demi Lovato wasn't seriously injured when she fell on the slippery stage in L.A. High heels and wet flooring is never a good mix.

Maybe she'll think twice about wearing flip flops instead the next time she appears at one of these events?
