Demi Lovato is one of many people who is supporting Bruce Jenner on his path to female transitioning, and during a New Zealand show over the weekend she praised his bravery and dedicated a song to him.
Jenner, who has long been suspected of gender transitioning, answered many questions his fans have had for a while now during an interview with Diane Sawyer that aired last week. In it, Jenner said that while his body still looks like that of a man, on the inside he has always been a woman. The former Olympian and stepfather to the Kardashians has garnered praise from his family and from fans around the world for his bravery in opening up about his journey, and Lovato said during her concert that she believes he may have even saved lives just by sharing his story.
"I just want to dedicate this song and it's so cheesy that I'm even doing this, but f --- it whatever. I want to dedicate it to someone who became an even bigger hero last night--Bruce Jenner! By the way, I never thought I'd ever dedicate a song to him. But he was honest and he was open with his story. No matter if you agree with it or not, he probably saved so many lives and educated so many people [about] transitioning into being a woman and being transgender and what's that's all about. So, yeah, I just want to dedicate it to Bruce Jenner," Lovato said onstage.
