Demi Lovato and her boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama are mourning the accidental death of their dog Buddy. While it's uncertain how Buddy met his demise, it is certain he was loved.
It was this past Tuesday when Demi Lovato shared word of her loss with her followers on Twitter.

Earlier on Friday, Demi Lovato thanked her supporters for their love and prayers sent to both her and Wilmer Valderrama.
She accompanied her thanks with an Instagram collage of Demi with Buddy.
"We can't thank you all enough. This has been the most painful week of my life but because Wilmer and I had so much love and support, I've been able to stay strong and will continue to get through this difficult time. The out pour of love and support has been unbelievable and it means the world to us. Love you all tons and tons," she captioned the collage.
The "Cool for the Summer" singer received Buddy as a Christmas gift this past year. Buddy even had his own Instagram account.
Just a week before the sweet pooch passed away, Demi Lovato shared an adorable photo of herself with her dog.
Hopefully both Demi Lovato and Wilmer Valderrama find solace in the love and support sent their way on social media by many of their fans. It's painful to lose a pet, as most people treat them like members of their families. Grief is a natural process when a loved one dies. It's not much different when a beloved dog or cat dies.
Might Demi Lovato and Wilmer Valderrama consider buying or adopting a new dog one day soon?
