Debra Messing, star of NBC's The Mysteries of Laura, is finally divorced from Daniel Zelman, the executive producer of Damages. The two were married for more than 10 years, and are the parents of 11-year-old son Roman.

Splitting up in 2012, it's been a long road for Debra Messing and Daniel Zelman. No details have hit the media yet on why the divorce took so many years.

During a 2012 interview with Ladies Home Journal, Debra Messing indicated at that time that the two were friends.

"It's a very long time. When I say the move to New York was traumatic, it was traumatic because every aspect of my life was going through a huge change," she said. "We are dear friends. And I am at peace with the journey we've had. I feel like the 20 years we had together has been a huge success. And despite the fact that everything is changing, I think everyone is thriving."

Debra Messing moved to New York to star in the now-cancelled NBC show Smash.

Hopefully the finalization of their divorce puts Debra Messing and Daniel Zelman in an even better place.
