Cowboys Stadium, where the NFL’s Dallas Cowboys have held home games since the 2009 season, has been officially renamed. Starting this week, the stadium will be known as AT&T Stadium, branded by the second-largest mobile provider in the U.S.

“AT&T is an iconic American leader that has guided the path of communication in the world for more than 100 years,” said Jerry Jones, owner and general manager of the Dallas Cowboys. “Our stadium has always been about providing fans with an unsurpassed experience in the area of technology. With AT&T, we are growing our relationship with one of the world’s strongest and most innovative companies to ultimately provide fans with the latest cutting-edge technology for many years to come.”

Signs reflecting the stadium’s new status will be going up throughout the next NFL season. The AT&T logo will be prominently displayed both inside and outside of the facility.

In addition to the branding and signs, the Dallas Cowboys and AT&T are creating what they are calling an “interactive gameday experience” for football fans. AT&T stated that it will be expanding its 4G LTE network in and around the stadium and its parking lot. The mobile provider also promised to “double” the capacity of its Wi-Fi network inside the stadium before the start of the next NFL season. AT&T will also be a part of the Dallas Cowboys’ mobile app, providing maps and “wayfinding” for those attending games.
