Cissy Houston, mother of the late Whitney Houston and grandmother of Bobbi Kristina Brown, who passed away on Sunday, is likely to inherit a third of Bobbi Kristina's $20 million estate. The estate was left to her by her mother Whitney Houston when she died in 2012.
A source reports that in the event of Bobbi Kristina Brown's death, Whitney Houston's will stipulates the money is to be split three ways--between Cissy Houston and Whitney's two brothers--Michael Houston and Gary Garland. Michael is the husband of Bobbi Kristina's aunt and conservator Pat Houston.
Cissy Houston wasn't at Bobbi Kristina's side when she passed away on Sunday. Thanks to Pat Houston, however, Cissy spoke to her granddaughter every day before she died. Pat would call Cissy Houston and then place the phone up to Bobbi Kristina's ear so her grandmother could whisper to her. Cissy Houston was unable to travel to Georgia due to health concerns. She is 81 years old.
Cissy Houston had the most realistic view of all the Houston and Brown family members after Bobbi Kristina had been hospitalized in an induced coma for just under two months. She believed her granddaughter was in God's hands and that he was in control of what happened to her. When doctors determined there was nothing more that they could do for the only child of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, Cissy spoke frankly to the media about it.
"There's not a great deal of hope," Cissy Houston said in March when Bobbi Kristina Brown was moved from the hospital to the rehab facility.
Hopefully Cissy Houston will be able to travel to Atlanta to Bobbi Kristina's funeral. Tyler Perry is reportedly helping the family with those funeral arrangements that are tentatively set for Thursday, July 30th--almost seven months to the day from that tragic moment Bobbi Kristina was discovered unconscious in a bathtub inside her Roswell, Georgia townhouse.

Cissy Houston has a strong Christian faith, and she strongly believes Bobbi Kristina is reunited with her mom Whitney Houston now. Hopefully that brings this broken-hearted grandmother--one who has lost so much--some peace. Even though Cissy Houston stands to inherit much in the wake of Bobbi Kristina's passing, she would surely rather have her granddaughter and her daughter by her side again.
