Christopher Keith "Chris" Irvine, best known for his ring name Chris Jericho, has seemed to conquer it all. Not only is he a semi-retired professional wrestler, he is also a musician, author, and television personality.
Jericho has won over 30 championships, since his wrestling career began in 1999, in the World Wrestling Federation (WWE), Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW), and World Championship Wrestling (WCW). While Chris has made a name for himself in the wrestling world, he admitted that he would be okay with never wrestling again.
During an interview with Britain's Mirror, Jericho explained that he stays busy with his band Fozzy, in which he is the lead vocalist, and is also working on another book and a web series.
You know if I never wrestle again it won't bother me, I don't want the big send-off -- I don't want the big farewell match where I'm in the ring crying in front of 70,000 fans because I'm such a hero and my career is done, I don't look at it that way. My career continues to move forward.
One day much to my fans' chagrin I won't be wrestling anymore but I'll playing rock 'n' roll in your town, or I'll be doing a podcast and you can hear me twice a week, or I'll be acting in some show or I'll be doing a spoken word performance. It's not like I'm just going to dry up and go away when I finish wrestling.
Much of what I've been doing over the last few years is what I'm going to be doing for the next 20 years or 30 years, and less and less of that will be in-ring performing. Not that I couldn't still go out there now and kick ass and tear it up because that's what I do but when the time comes that I feel I couldn't do that anymore then I won't do it.
