We all remember the famous incident in 2009 when Chris Brown hit Rihanna in which he ended up pleading guilty to felony assault. He is still getting a lot of attention drawn to him over the event that took place around five years ago.
For the October 14 issue of JET Magazine, Chris Brown was interviewed. He believes that the public has been a lot more tough on him than they have on rapper Jay Z. Jay Z was at a nightclub in 2009 when he stabbed Lance (Un) Rivera in the stomach. He ended up pleading guilty to a misdemeanor charge and in which he ended up having having a three year probation.
It has also been reported that Jay Z used to sell drugs."No disrespect, because I'm a fan, but nobody brings up the fact that he stabbed somebody and sold drugs. He gets a pass. You have to go through the struggle before you can get to the good part," he said. "I don't try to lash out at people or be as mad or impulsive as I used to be. I got to the point where it's only so much you can take from the master, you feel me? I've taken my fair share of lashings," he said in the interview, according to UPI.
Since Brown's own troubles in 2009, he has apologized to his friends, family and fans regarding the abuse with Rihanna. He went on to mend his relationship with her but the couple reported that they had broken up, in May of this year.[Photo via Youtube]
