  • Cheryl Cole was recently married and although she was willing to share the news with her fans, she admitted that she wishes it could have remained a secret, as least for a little while.

‘”I would have actually kept it that way [secret] but unfortunately it was leaked,”she said.

Although Cole may not have planned to share the news with her fans so early in the marriage, she did say that she is glad it’s out there and relieved that she doesn’t have to worry about keeping it a secret or the information getting leaked in a negative way.

“But I’m glad it’s out there,” she added.

Cole married restaurant owner Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini in early July after a brief engagement.

Cole posted a photo of her engagement ring and wedding band on Instagram and informed everyone that the couple had indeed tied the knot. In the caption she said,

“I usually do not discuss my personal life but to stop the speculation I want to share my happy news… Jean-Bernard and I married on 7/7/14.. We are very happy and excited to move forward with our lives together.”

Marriage isn’t the only thing new in Cole’s life. Her new single Crazy Stupid Love, recently made it to the top of the charts.

Cole joins Geri Halliwell and Rita Ora as only the third British female to claim the solo feat.

Cole said that she was very excited to see the single do so well and to make it to the top of the charts.

“It feels great to be back but even more special to have achieved my fourth number one,” she said about the single.
