Charlize Theron walked the red carpet in a sexy yellow gown and watched herself on the big screen--replete with her bald head and mechanical arm--as Mad Max: Fury Road wowed the crowd at the Cannes Film Festival on Thursday. Sean Penn watched the love of his life from the wings.
According to a report from Page Six, Penn pointed to Charlize Theron when the French press headed in his direction. He wanted the night to be all about her, and not about him.
Penn reportedly beamed when Charlize Theron posed for a wealth of pictures throughout the evening.
Some are wondering why Mad Max: Fury Road wasn't on tap for the opening night of the Cannes Film Festival instead of on Thursday? Many believed Charlize Theron in this kick-butt role would have 'kicked the festival into higher gear' right away.
“It wasn’t suitable for opening night, with all the dignitaries… [It] should be a more moviegoing audience," the film's director George Miller said.
