Charlie Hunnan And Sons Of Anarchy Cast Talk Fifty Shades Of Grey

When news of a Fifty Shades Of Grey film hit the Internet, everyone was talking about who would play the sexy Christian Grey. Many were surprised to find out it would Sons of Anarchy actor, Charlie Hunnam. Fans of the book weren’t the only ones who were surprised, so were his Sons of Anarchy cast members.

“When he told me that it was happening or that he was considering it I just howled. I mean I think we all did. We’re all like, what?” says Maggie Siff, who plays Jax’s savvy wife Tara. “And then I talked to him seriously about it. I think he’s very brave to do it. He doesn’t do anything unless he feels it deep down. He’s not going to do something because all of his agents are telling him to do something. That’s what makes me think it stands a chance of being really, really great. If he has that conviction going in, then you know it’ll be great.”

Hunnam was also shocked to find out he had gotten the role. He told Entertainment Weekly,

“There are so many fans of that book and I know that on the surface, I’m probably not what everybody imagined.” “Because reading is so personal and people bring a character to life in their imagination, they feel ownership over that character.”

It doesn’t seem to bother Hunnam that many people are disappointed that he got the role, and his Sons of Anarchy cast members seem to think he will do well with it. Hunnan said that he is working very hard to live up to Christians Gray’s fans’ standards.

“I’m taking it very seriously and intend to explore the nature of who this character is, what motivates him—and also dress up nice and look good in those suits,” he said.

The popular, erotic film Fifty Shades of Grey will start filming in early November and will hit theaters this summer.

Charlie Hunnam is TOTALLY WRONG for the part of Christian Gray. His hair isn’t curly. His eyes aren’t sultry. His eyebrows are bushy. His smile is nice but not a Christian Gray smile. His build is wrong and his walk is wrong. Although Charlie Hunnam is a good looking guy, he doesn’t fit the description of Christian Gray. Christian Gray makes all the girls flush & quake in his presence. Charlie Hunnam doesn’t have that effect on women. A better choice would have been Sam Worthington.

Well, he makes this woman go weak at the knees! The main requisite for someone to play this role is that they are a good actor who can portray certain characteristics, intensity being one of the most important. With regards to his appearance, I believe there is such a thing as make up which is commonly used in film! Nowhere is curly hair mentioned, just that it is copper coloured and inclined to flop over his forehead. Copper can vary from very bright to highlights in brownish hair…………… So the character will vary in the imagination of each and every reader of the books. Sit back, wait for the film and then enjoy!

How can you sit there and make an assumption like that? ” Christian Gray makes all the girls flush & quake in his presence. Charlie Hunnam doesn’t have that effect on women.” I’m sorry, he’s hot. And about the hair and his physical appearance. It’s called hair and makeup for a reason. I’m so sick and tired of people talking about, “oh his hair is the wrong color, he has a beard…” Are you kidding me? How many times has Nicole Kidman played a blonde when she’s actually a red head. Did you know that that actors physically transform themselves into characters? The lose weight, gain weight, bulk up, etc. He wasn’t my first choice either, but we all had our idea of CG and some of us were able to keep an open mind.
