Carey Mulligan is, by all accounts and by her own admission, a rather private person.
So it's fitting that her big baby announcement was unlike many in Hollywood. No baby selfies, no tweets, no Instagram posts (she's not even on social media in the first place). The way we know Carey Mulligan had her baby is that she just showed up to an event not pregnant anymore.
Mulligan was on the red carpet at the London Film Festival on Wednesday, and something was missing – her baby bump.
According to sources, E! News reports that Mulligan gave birth in September to a "healthy and happy baby boy."
"She is just enjoying this time with her family and close friends," said the source.
Carey Mulligan didn't make a big, public deal out of her pregnancy in the first place. she simply showed up to events pregnant. How refreshing, in this day and age.

"I have always felt that the less people know about me, the better,' she said in an interview earlier this year. 'The more similar you look job to job, the more they relate to you from your previous roles ... That’s why I’ve done loads of really stupid things to my hair in the past to try to not look the same."
If you're out of the loop, Mulligan is married to Mumford & Sons lead singer Marcus Mumford. They've been hitched since 2012. It's the couple's first child.
