Candace Cameron Bure–best known for her role as DJ Tanner on the hit 1990s TV show Full House, and Andrea Barber, best known for her role as Kimmy Gibbler on the same show–have remained close friends in real life, just like they were on Full House. In fact, their friendship–and Candace’s popularity as DJ Tanner–has even sparked the interest of their kids.

Barber and Bure have their own ‘full houses’ now–replete with five children between them. Candace Cameron Bure is mom to Natasha, 16, Lev, 14, and Maksim, who is 12. Andrea Barber has a son and a daughter. Tate is 10 and Felicity is seven.

Andrea Barber’s kids are huge Full House fans.

“My kids are…at the height of Full House fandom,” she says. “My daughter was so excited to come here today and to meet Candace. And I’m like, ‘You’ve already met Candace!’ But this is the first time she’s seen Candace since she became a fan of the show.”

Having a mom who starred on Full House proved quite beneficial to one of Candace Cameron Bure’s children as well. It was when son Maks was in middle school and having a hard time making friends.

“And then one day he came in the car and I said, ‘How was your day today?'” the Dancing With the Stars alum recalled. “And he was like, ‘It was great…Everybody found out you’re my mom, and you were D.J. on Full House, and now everybody wants to be my friend!'”

Andrea Barber recently shared a fun photo of herself and her BFF back in their Full House days. She captioned it, “#TBT 1988 @candacecbure Back before we started doing funny face selfies…we were doing funny face selfies.”

It wasn’t all that long ago that the ladies gathered with former costar Lori Loughlin for a reunion of sorts.

Full House was a wholesome show for its time and by today’s standards is far more wholesome than most of the new shows that are aired. How wonderful that the kids of two of its stars are enjoying the fruits of their moms’ labors.

And how wonderful that after all this time, Candace Cameron Bure and Andrea Barber have remained close friends. It goes to show that true friendship can trump the fast pace of the Hollywood lifestyle–although it does appear as though both of these Full House stars have put their families ahead of their careers.

I don’t know, these older (old news) actresses who try to come back into the limelight later just seem so self-absorbed. Like remember me -everyone used to know who I was when I was on this show upteen years ago.People don’t really care much anymore as much as these actresses think. There are new faces in Hollywood.

I’d rather read about these ladies and their happy wholesome families over many of the “new faces” that bring nothing but trash and drama.

It’s refreshing to see hollywood kids turn out normal for once.

I grew up watching these shows and I still partake from time to time watching the re runs. TV is not TV any more, i think my children only have 3 or 4 decent channels they are allowed to watch because of the Adult content on them.. I rather watch shows from the 80s and 90s then whats shown on TV now, Reality TV is all you see and truth be told it’s not my reality. I work go to school and take care of home and children, not fight, drink wine or party all day and night, I don’t live in a huge house nor does my husband make tuns of money, is is a solder in the military. I’m glad they are back in lime light maybe we can get some Real tv back on TV instead of the garbage that is is on now.

Originally, Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber, Candace Cameron and Kirk Cameron represented values. I’m glad that Candace Cameron Bure and Kirk Cameron still maintain their values and didn’t fall off the wagon like those other two. So sad about those other two.
