A creative strategist and the most recognizable spokesperson for the Call of Duty Modern Warfare series, Robert Bowling, has resigned from his position at Infinity Ward. Bowling had become the face of the franchise after joining Infinity Ward in 2006.
Bowling announced his resignation via Twitter:
Today, I resign from my position as Creative Strategist of Call of Duty, as a lead of Infinity Ward, and as an employee of Activision.
The reason for Bowling leaving his position is unknown, but the situation seems amicable, with Infinity Ward tweeting its best wishes for Bowling soon after his announcement:
