Calista Flockhart has finally broken her silence on her husband Harrison Ford's plane crash. Ford was seriously injured back in March when his single-engine plane crashed on the grounds of the Penmar Golf Course, not far from the Santa Monica Airport.
Flockhart admitted the near-fatal accident was "a really hard, scary time for our family."
"I think it just makes you realize, once again, that life can turn on a dime. We just have to appreciate every second we're here, because you never know," she adds.
Calista Flockhart says Harrison Ford is doing really well these days and that despite the injuries sustained in the plane crash, he has no plans to give up his passion for flying.
"You know, he loves it, so I love it and I support him 100% in that," she said. "[But] I don't fly, I'm the passenger in the plane."

Harrison Ford, known for his roles in The Fugitive, Indiana Jones, and Star Wars, broke both his ankle and his pelvis in the crash. He underwent surgery for his broken pelvis.
Just three months after the accident, Ford was spotted flying again.
If you were Calista Flockhart, would you be after your husband to quit flying for good?
Calista Flockhart stayed by Harrison Ford's side in the hospital for two weeks straight following his plane crash. She left only to bring their son to school.
