Since Britney Spears began her residency at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino's AXIS Theater in Las Vegas back in December 2013, her Britney: Piece of Me show has boosted the property's earnings by about $20 million. Initially booked for a two-year run at the property, her residency was recently extended all the way through 2017.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Planet Hollywood desperately needed that boost, too. They were said to have been facing some pretty serious financial issues prior to the beginning of her residency. Thanks to Britney Spears and her fans who are filling rooms and buying concert tickets, what was once a dismal financial future for the property now actually looks quite profitable.
A source tells PerezHilton.com that some significant upgrades are underway at the property, thanks to Britney Spears.
"Wall Street gaming experts say the pop princess has revitalized the property and helped turn its one-time dismal financial picture into a real profit center. [Brit] has been singlehandedly instrumental in helping fill its 2,520 rooms and boosting the profits to nearly $100 million that Caesars is using to modernize the Quad into the new Linq hotel and redecorating and upgrading the rooms and pools at Planet Hollywood."

Tickets for Britney Spears' show cost fans between $60 and $500. The $20 million the property made thus far on her residency is what they cleared after the pop star was paid.
Do you suppose Britney's show will remain this popular in the remaining years of her residency? Planet Hollywood is likely taking that notion all the way to the bank.
