  • Bobby Brown took to the concert stage on Sunday night, marking his first appearance since his daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown died on July 26.

It was at the Hollywood Bowl in L.A. that Bobby Brown performed alongside Macy Gray in a surprise appearance. He and Gray did a duet of her song “Real Love.”

Bobby Brown was adamant following Bobbi Kristina’s passing that her boyfriend Nick Gordon not be allowed to attend the funeral. Brown–and other members of his and Whitney Houston’s families–feel Nick Gordon was somehow responsible for Bobbi Kristina’s passing.

Nick Gordon finally paid his respects to Bobbi Kristina–visiting the site where she and Whitney Houston are buried at Fairview Cemetery in Westfield, New Jersey–last week.

Bobbi Kristina Brown was discovered facedown in a bathtub in the Roswell, Georgia home she shared with Nick Gordon back on January 31. Bobby Brown wouldn’t allow Nick Gordon to visit his daughter’s hospital room, nor the rehab center and hospice where she lived out her last days.

A civil suit was filed against Nick Gordon by one of Bobbi Kristina Brown’s conservators, alleging he abused her and stole money from her in the days before she was discovered unconscious.

Hopefully Bobby Brown’s appearance with Macy Gray this past weekend is indicative he is getting on with his life. No parent should have to bury his or her child. Bobbi Kristina’s death will no doubt impact Bobby Brown for the rest of his life.
