Bobbi Kristina's mother was found in an eerily similar condition shortly before her death on February 11th, 2012.

She was found unresponsive in a bathtub in a Beverly Hills, California hotel suite.

Whitney Houston had struggled for years with cocaine, marijuana, and pills.

She also had a widely publicized and tumultuous life.

In her last days, her behavior had become unpredictable and erratic. Investigators found numerous prescription drug bottles in the hotel suite.

An autopsy determined that Whitney Houston drowned accidentally, but heart disease and cocaine were also listed as contributing factors in her untimely death.

Houston was a pop superstar with a voice that was distinct and recognizable for its power and sound.

However, her family life with her husband, singer Bobby Brown, and their daughter, Bobbi Kristina, was tabloid fodder for most of their married life and for years after their marriage crumbled.

Drug use and alleged physical abuse plagued their relationship and tarnished Whitney Houston's reputation.

Hopefully Bobbi Kristina will pull through and have a second chance at life.
