SES - Day 2 Wrap Up

I had “intended” to go to the Putting Search in the Marketing Mix Session at 1:30 today, but I was too busy partying with my bud Jennifer Laycock and the rest of the Search Engine Guide gang. And I finally got to lay eyes on the elusive Robert Clough, that handsome man that he is. It was a pleasure being among a group of people, all smarter, more knowledgeable and better writers than I. But I had the coolest shirt, so it all evens out!

Afterward I spend some time making my way through the exhibition hall collecting goodies. I’ve got quite the bag full. I felt bad just taking their free stuff and not really talking to the peeps guarding the toys, but that’s what they get for having free stuff. My kids will have a ball with whatever it is that I don’t keep for myself.

I had three great sessions today, The analytics, architecture were hands down the best so far and the video was the next best after those two. Lots of good information sparking lots and lots of ideas and action items.

Afterward Rob, Diana and I trekked over to the Googleplex. We hooked up with Matt McGee and company and played several games of pool. Needless to say, we got our butt’s kicked by Google employees who we suspect spend their 20% time playing the game. Good times. We’re looking forward to another exciting day of four solid sessions of information.
