Bill Gates has "adopted" three seniors at Arizona's Blue Ridge High School, promising to pay for all of their education and expenses for the next ten years, right up through a doctorate decree.
The three, Michael Meza, Warren Nastivar and Rikki Lynn London, are now Gates Millenium Scholars, part of a program to give high-achieving African American, American Indian and Hispanic American a chance to reach their highest potential.
London plans to attend Notre Dame and become a teacher, while Meza aims to go to Arizona State for two years, then the Rochester Insitute of Technology, to major in graphic communications and follow in his grandfather's (a printer) footsteps. Meanwhile, Nastivar is going to major in pre-med at Hawaii Pacific and become a surgeon.
