So you think you want to talk to aliens? Well, you might just have your chance and you won’t need Jody Foster to make contact. Florida-based MindComet now offers a service that allows bloggers to send their blogs into space.

MindComet wants humans to connect with their alien cousins and now they’re providing the means to that end. The project, according the MindComet, is to do a little interstellar public relations for the species.

Blogosphere Moves Beyond Exosphere: Ride the MindComet

“The media is saturated with images of war and anger. We have been transmitting these images into space for years,” said Ted Murphy, president and CEO of MindComet. “This program gives us the opportunity to show our race in a different light.”

“We strongly urge our users to refrain from language or content designed to provoke our alien neighbors,” said Murphy. “We hope that our bloggers understand the importance of keeping our message positive.”

The way the process works bloggers to submit their material through BloginSpace.com, a free bloggin service. MindComet will transmit the blog feeds into space. According to MindComet, the site will aggregate blog content into transmission packages and send the content into deep space with a powerful satellite broadcast.

“I’ve always believed that other intelligent life forms are out there, and now, for the first time, they will be able to peer into the life of average Homo sapiens,” explained Murphy. “We are giving bloggers the opportunity to send a piece of their lives into space to potentially connect with extraterrestrials.”
