A new blog kicked off yesterday about the all things Apple. The blog over at the brilliant BusinessWeek called “Byte of the Apple” will be written by Peter Burrows, Arik Hesseldahl and Cliff Edwards. It should provide some interesting insight into the world of Apple.
Blogs are becoming more and more mainstream as many journalistic entities use them for OP/ED columns as much as anything. Many times the comments are opinionated but they often times are insightful and provide perspective on many issues. This is what we can expect to see from the “Byte of the Apple” crew.
The first two posts made by Hesseldahl took a look at the state of Dell computers, particularly with regard to their weakening earnings reports. In the first post, he waxes ironic, discussing Michael Dell’s comments about Apple and saying he would “shut the company down and give the money back to shareholders.”
Apple’s earnings are bit stronger than Dell’s these days. It’s interesting how things can turn around.
The next entry was regarding Dell saying over the summer he would be interested in putting OS X on his Dell computers. This happened after Dell went to Intel processors. Once again, we have more irony.
