  • As the number of sexual assault allegations against him continues to climb, Bill Cosby has lost yet another honorary degree.

Drew University, New Jersey’s “University in the Forest”, has decided to rescind his degree.

In a statement, the school said it did so “because of Cosby’s admissions in sworn testimony that he engaged in conduct toward women that violates the school’s values and standards.”

Drew university gave Cosby his degree in 2002.

The total number of women who have accused Bill Cosby of sexual misconduct is at 57. The charges range from rape and sexual battery to drug-facilitated sexual assault.

Cosby has publicly denied these allegations, and he’s yet to face any criminal charges.

But Cosby did admit, in recently unsealed records from a 2005 civil case, that he gave women quaaludes during what he calls “consensual sexual encounters.”

Cosby has had a total of 17 honorary degrees rescinded – Fordham University, Marquette, Brown, Baylor, Lehigh, and Amherst among those severing ties with the comedian.
