Bethenny Frankel and Omarosa: Catfight On Talk Show

By: Amanda Crum - October 31, 2013

Bethenny Frankel has made quite a career for herself since she first appeared on “The Real Housewives of New York”; she starred in not one but two reality show spinoffs documenting her marriage and the birth of her child, she started her own cocktail brand, SkinnyGirl, and she is the author of four books that deal with everything from diet plans to workouts. Now, she has her own talk show, and as someone who says she likes talking to controversial people, she got more than she bargained for when she invited reality star Omarosa Manigault to sit down for an interview.

The two have had words in the past, and when Frankel suggested that Manigault was not much more than a reality TV villain, the “Apprentice” star fired back in a fairly catty manner.

“It’s different for you and I,” she said. “I am an African-American woman. You get to walk around and be mediocre and you still get rewarded with things. We have to be exceptional to get anything in this business.”

Of course the audience Oooohhed at that, but Omarosa attempted to backtrack, saying she wasn’t saying Frankel is mediocre because she’s doing well enough to have her own talk show, but the claws were already out. The conversation then turned to what exactly Omarosa’s “brand” is (“I am a smart businesswoman who celebrates being smart and there is a brand in being smart,” she said) and that’s when it got really ugly, with Omarosa comparing Frankel “making cupcakes” to her job in the White House.

You can put two women in a room and within an hour they will hate each other. Seen it a thousand times. I have seen women who just met hate each other after 15 minutes. What the heck could you know about a person after 15 minutes? Not much really.

Women are all crazy. All of them.

  • Wow … really?

I don’t think it has anything to do with being black or white. I think it has to do with looks. Women that are good looking have easier lives. I know this isn’t politically correct to say, but it is the truth.

Our society is very biased. I will give you an example. A couple of days ago on webpronews, there was an article about a girl that got murdered and how she was going to be remembered. The girl was pretty and an “all american” type of girl. Attractive. Yet, every day in America, more men get murdered than women. Yet, you rarely see articles about this. More men go missing than women. Again, very few articles. The only thing we ever hear about is the pretty girl that was killed or kidnapped. You never hear about the 300 pound woman who was killed or kidnapped. No one cares about her. Look at the murder statistics — men are dying all over the place. Women in this country are actually very safe. But if one pretty woman goes missing, the media has a frenzy.

Let’s look at Casey Anthony. If Casey was male, the conviction would have taken a second and it would have never even made it on TV. Heck, the male could have be completely innocent and still be convicted because in this country, all men are guilty in a court of law. If Casey was 300 pounds, her case would have never made it on TV. But Casey was an attractive girl and because of this she got attention. You can look at Jodi Arias and see the same thing. You can also look at the girl who killed that guy in Italy and see the same thing. Pretty women get chance after chance — even when they murder people!!!

It is not just men being biased and preferring pretty women. Women do it too. Honestly, how many of the real housewives are really “real” housewives. The average woman in America weighs 164 pounds. Go out and get me 7 women who weigh 164 pounds and start a reality TV show. Let’s see how long it lasts. The only reason why “real” housewives works is a) women like drama and are inherently all about drama and b) the women are attractive — not gorgeous — but attractive in a slutty sort of way. That is how you get your audience.

Just my two cents. By the way, I don’t think any of this is “right”. I actually think it is awful. But that is just the way it is.

Hello! How are you doing? I think omerosa is like wall street millionaires they can go screw up things and blame the world for its problems that they caused but never taking responsibilities for their actions and the horrible things that they have done. I hope she falls hard, I am not racist for I enjoy other cultures and think she is a true two faced witch in which someday when it all falls apart I hope that she would grow up not being acting like a spoil rotten brat that needs to lose it all in order for her to grow up but she will never change like politicians fallout on the government shut down to screw over the American people thing she’s better than us.

Omarosa was on point. First off she made Betheny look like a fool for losing the $10,000 bet. Second she was right. What are Betheny’s qualifications to get a talk show? She is best known as a Real Housewife. She has zero talent. Obviously she is below mediocre. Plus her ratings have tanked. Love her or hate her, Omarosa has been relevant for 10 years, unlike Betheny. She earned the respect of Donald Trump. Team Omarosa.
