Battlefield 3 NES Edition Gaining Viral Momentum

I don’t care how great and realistic graphics are getting these days, the best video games are all behind us. However, if we can see more of the newer titles incorporate soundtracks like this, I might be inclined to backtrack on that statement.

Someone put together this Battlefield 3 clip with music and sound effects from old 8-bit NES classics, and it makes we want to play.

The YouTube description says:

I was thinking… “I wonder what BF3 would be like with NES sound effects.” So I made this.
Sounds are from Contra and Top Gun, music is from Journey to Silius(Title Screen) and Batman(Stage 4 Part 1).
PC Version incase you were going to ask.

Show me a game that isn’t better with Contra sounds. Seriously.

The video itself has already received exposure from Reddit, Fark and G4.
