Microsoft Corp. today announced that Windows Live Hotmail, the successor to MSN Hotmail, is launching globally in 36 languages.

To celebrate the UK launch of the new Windows Live Hotmail, the UK’s no 1 email service has announced a unique collaboration with the British Library, to create the first ever archive of British emails today.

Windows Live Search Executive Dane Glasgow Leaves
Dane Glasgow, general manager for Windows Live Search, is leaving the company to work for various nonprofits and spend more time with his family, according to ZDNet’s Mary Jo Foley. Only last month did, Christopher Payne, VP of Windows Live Search, leave to start his own company.

Yahoo! Releases Upcoming.org 2.0
Great News for all you Upcoming.org fans, today the Yahoo Search Blog announced the release of Upcoming.org 2.0 which includes some additional changes and upgrades to Upcoming, including the integration of Flickr and the transition of Upcoming.org onto the Signle Sign in Yahoo! Local platform.

And this time Yahoo! seems to have sweeten the deal with a free offer of a T-shirt. However its only available to America and Canada.

Major Imagery Release at Live Maps / Virtual Earth

A major imagery release just went online at Live Maps and the Virtual Earth platform – 3.8 terabytes worth of imagery to be exact.

The 3.8TB update features dozens more cities of Birds eye coverage as well as some high resolution ortho imagery from the Ultracam and GlobeXplorer. And lots of European Birds eye coverage, including some countries that had not been previously covered at all. Here’s a list of all of the new coverage by region:

Looks like Windows Live Hotmail M10 is not far from being on the way, and with this new release brings some new changes:

MS Video HyperLink Technology Showcasing Kohl’s

Here’s some cool news.

It looks like Microsoft is now starting to implement its adCenter Labs Video HyperLink Technology with real world clients. The first signs of this come this week as MSN Entertainment shows of Kohl’s department store using the Video HyperLink Technology, which is an interactive video tool which provides more information about objects in a video when you click or even hover on them.
