‘Assassin’s Creed Heritage Collection’ Announced For EuropeBy: Sean Patterson - October 4, 2013
With the sixth yearly Assassin’s Creed game (Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag) just weeks away from release, Ubisoft today announced a new collection of Assassin’s Creed games for those looking to get into the series.
The Assassin’s Creed Heritage Collection will be out on November 8, 2013 in the U.K and Europe – the week after Black Flag launches in those territories. The collection will be coming to PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC, though no North American release plans have yet been revealed.
The collection contains all five of of the Assassin’s Creed games released to date. This includes the original Assassin’s Creed, which places gamers in the shoes of an assassin named Altair during the Third Crusade. It also includes the three games in the so-called Ezio Trilogy (which is available in North America) – Assassin’s Creed II, Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood, and Assassin’s Creed Revelations. Last year’s Assassin’s Creed III is also included in the bundle.
Ubisoft did not reveal whether the Heritage Collection will come with all DLC content for each of the games included. If so, that would make the collection almost identical to the Assassin’s Creed Anthology, which was released last holiday season. That bundle came is special packaging and cost 150€/£120. The Heritage Collection price has not been announced, though box art indicates it will come in a standard retail box.
